“Making Kyoto Beautiful with Green Tea.”

While Kyoto is the nation’s No. 1 tourist spot, we conducted cleanup activities and undergrowth processing in mountains that grow “hiwada” (hinoki cypress bark), which becomes the roofing material for temples and shrines that support tourism. Approximately 20 people, including general participants and our employees, also learned how to make “hiwada,” experiencing a part of traditional culture.
