“Making Aomori Beautiful with Green Tea.”

On Saturday, October 19, we had planned to conduct environmental activities in the Shirakami Mountains with the general public, but the event was canceled due to inclement weather.

Later, on November 18, a “Beech Tree Planting” event was held by three organizations: Aomori Prefecture, the Shirakami Mountains Visitor Center, and ITO EN. The Shirakami Mountains, a World Natural Heritage site, support a rich ecosystem, and their beech forests are a key feature of this environment. On the day of the event, amidst the tranquil forest, which was carpeted with fallen leaves, the three organizations collaborated to carefully plant each sapling, one by one.
